MIESSA FERREIRA DE SOUZA
Miessa is a Senior Engineer at Vale, based in Belo Horizonte. Miessa Souza has a PhD. from the University of Utah and a B.S. in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto.
Miessa has 10 years of experience in mining, dedicating the first years of her career to research focused on geotechnical numerical modelling. She has worked at Rio Tinto's Bingham Canyon Mine, Vale's Carajas S11D and for the last 3 years is focused on open pit slope monitoring at Vale's Geotechnical Monitoring Center (CMG).
